9:00 am Diagnosis and Management of Glaucoma in an Evolving Healthcare Landscape - Dr. Cindy Hutnik, Sponsored by Thea

A review of the current state of access to care for glaucoma patients, importance of early detection and frequent monitoring, and alternative models of access in an evolving health care system. 

10:00 IOL Considerations in Patients with Glaucoma - Dr. Cindy Hutnik, Sponsored by Thea

A review of desired outcomes of cataract surgery in today's patient, discussion on the pros and cons of traditional and newer IOL technologies, and important considerations of cataract surgery in glaucoma patients.

11:15am Reconciliation, Racism, and Healthcare - Dr. Marcia Anderson

Reconciliation will not be achieved if one side believes it's a recognition of rights, and one side thinks it's an act of benevolence. Indigenous people in Canada face high levels of racism as patients, in the workplace and in learning environments. Learning about cultural safety and cultural humility can provide culturally safe care.

1:45pm Know when to Hold'em - Glaucoma Medical Co-Management lecture & panel discussion.

Dr. Raageen Kanjee and Dr. Tyler Buffie will briefly discuss the glaucoma co-management guidelines in Manitoba. This will include a review of testing, diagnosis, management, and more importantly, when to consult and collaborate with Ophthalmology. There will then be a panel discussion involving Drs. Kanjee, Gould, and Zuñiga, where they will briefly discuss topics of interest relating to medical co-management. A question period will follow. Panelists subject to change based on scheduling.

3:15pm Know when to Fold'em - Glaucoma Surgical Co-Management lecture & panel discussion. 

Dr. Alberto Aguayo and Dr. Tyler Buffie will review surgical co-management pearls through case presentations. Subsequently, a panel discussion involving Drs. Aguayo, Rahman, and Gdih will provide an update on new surgical techniques and implications for co-management. A question period will follow. Panelists subject to change based on scheduling. 

4:30pm Demystifying Uveitis with Multimodal Imaging - Dr. Andre Jasrezebski

Presentation will include a discussion on uveitis cases and the use of multimodal imaging related to uveitis.
